Whether I’m on a job interview or meeting someone new, nothing gets me more tongue-tied than the dreaded “Tell us all a little about yourself.” My brain instantly goes blank and a wave of self-doubt buries me as I frantically attempt to find the words to describe myself.
Why is this so hard? Am I the only one who struggles here? I think not.
I am recently retired from a career in law enforcement and it has influenced my life in unimaginable ways. I have a love/hate relationship with my career choice. I write about it quite often.
My experiences in that field inspired many of my fictional prose. I write fiction in many genres but Crime/Thriller/Mystery is my favorite. I am in the process of writing several non-fiction Law Enforcement related titles that I am looking forward to publishing in the near future.
I am an avid reader, lifelong learner and author. My wordsmithing may need a bit of polishing but I am dedicated to honing my craft.
As is the bain of most writers’ existence, I am an introvert by nature. That being said, I would love to engage with my readers as often as possible. Being able to exchange ideas with people I do not know is intoxicating and I look forward to engaging with all of you!
