Journey Through Genocide by author Raffy Bouddjikanian is a very interesting first hand account of the struggles genocide victims and their families have endured. An Immigrant at a young age, Raffy travels to Darfuri refugee camps in Chad, Kigali in Rwanda and the ruins of ancient villages in Turkey.
His interviews with the victims of such violence is heart wrenching. Families displaced by massacres, families torn apart by murder and those left behind struggling to deal with justice and reconciliation make this book a personal journey for all readers.
I highly recommend this journey be taken. It will open your eyes and hearts to the world around us and give you a glimpse of the realities of genocide.
