Whether I’m on a job interview, on a new date or introducing myself in a class nothing gets me more tongue tied than the dreaded “Tell us all a little about yourself.” My brain instantly goes blank and a wave of self doubt buries me as I frantically attempt to find the words to describe myself. Why is this so hard? Am I the only one who struggles here? I think not.
I am recently retired from a career in law enforcement officer for the past 16 years and it influenced my life in unimaginable ways. I have a love/hate relationship with the career that chose me and I cannot help but write about my experiences. I am currently in the process of writing several non-fiction Law Enforcement related titles that I am looking forward to publishing in the near future.
I am an avid reader, lifelong learner and aspiring writer. My wordsmithing may need quite a bit of polishing but I am dedicated to honing my craft.
I am an introvert by nature but I am hoping this blog will help to change that a little. I would love to engage with my readers as often as possible. Being able to exchange ideas with people I do not know is intoxicating and I look forward to engaging with all of you!
Oh yeah….and because I am a huge DIY’er I have self published a line of journals and writer workbooks. I write A LOT and I am always looking for the best (and simplest) way to keep my notes, ideas and muse inspired prose organized. AND they are small enough to carry with me. You can find the whole line up here on amazon. I hope they come in handy for you!
